Summer Clutter Tip – Have a Ready-to-Go Park Bag

If part of your summer fun is going to the park on a regular basis, find a light duffel, a big canvas bag or a decent-sized knapsack. Fill it with the core items you use most at the park so you don’t forget a thing. Make it easy to head out the door at a moments notice!

A beach bag with towels in it, and a beach ball and spray bottle nearby.

Choose a bag that is easy to carry and doesn’t mind getting dirty.

Here’s the things you may want to have in that bag:
Sunscreen and bug spray (in a zip-lock or sealed container
Beach blanket or heavy sheet
A small and full-size towel
Mini first-aid kit with bandages, anti-itch cream, and antibiotic ointment
Hats and Sunglasses
An empty bag for collecting treasures
One or two toy(s) of choice
– Buckets and shovel for sand and mud digging
– Bubbles
– Sidewalk chalk
– A miniature kaleidoscope – This makes staring at the clouds even more fun.
– A ball, kite or frisbee
– etc.

Some optional items:
Leaf, bird or bug Guide, per your preferences
Mini binoculars
Dog bowl/poop bags

Keep it in the garage, the mud room or near the exit door of your home. Clean it out and store it away at summer’s end. Here’s wishing you a long hot summer!
