Here are five gorgeous tips on how to organize your gifting center:
- ON GIFTS TO GIVE, remember my rule that “the container sets the limit”. Choose one or two drawers or bins and let that be the limit for gifts to grab on the go. Don’t buy any more gifts if the bins are over-loaded. And purge through them on occasion – if something has been in there too long, it likely means it is not worth gifting.
- Gifting is a stuff category that can go anywhere, ideally where there is a surface nearby to wrap.
Here, it’s in a bedroom closet, so there is probably a bed for your work surface close at hand!
Here’s a nice option so you can roll it out of the way when not in use.
And here we have it behind a door with a surface nearby
- Use simple small boxes to sort gifting accessories inside the gifting bin or drawer, so it doesn’t become a hot mess of clutter! Clear ziplock bags work great too or shoe boxes in larger bins. Now finding the right wrapping gear is a
snap. - Big chunky drawers or bins are a great place to store gifting gear.
5. To save space, consider eliminating gift paper rolls from your gifting routine. The long skinny shape is difficult to store. By keeping your wrapping options to gift bags with tissue paper you will minimize your storage needs. Notice the 4 drawer bin in the photo above can be smaller because they have no need to store long rolls.
